Getting started

Quickstart

From a fresh account to a live dashboard in about five minutes.

Create your account

Sign up at metryx.app with your email or a Google account. Once you verify your email, you'll land in onboarding. It walks you through everything below, and you can leave and come back whenever. It picks up where you left off.

Create a profile

A profile is the thing you're tracking. An artist, a brand, a community, a creator. Give it a name and an avatar, pick the type that fits, then choose a plan.

Tip

You can start on Free and upgrade whenever. Paid plans check out with a card right in the onboarding flow, no redirect to a separate billing site.

One account can own as many profiles as you want. Each one keeps its own data, team, and billing. More on that in Profiles & teams.

Invite the bot

  1. 1

    Connect Discord

Onboarding asks you to connect Discord. Instagram and TikTok are shown as coming August 1, 2026, but they do not connect yet. Metryx uses Discord's own login, so your servers show up automatically.

  2. 2

    Pick a server

You'll see every server where you're allowed to add a bot. Pick the one this profile is for.

    Important

One server connects to one profile. Metryx enforces this, so two profiles can never share (or mix up) the same server's data.
  3. 3

    Authorize the bot

Discord shows you the permissions the bot needs. Approve it and the bot joins immediately. Data collection starts right away.

Pick a timezone

Every profile has a timezone, and onboarding asks you to pick one. It decides where each "day" starts and ends for every daily metric. Pick the timezone your community actually lives in, not where you happen to be.

Note

Averages skip the current day while it's still in progress. So a chart you check at 9am never makes today look like a crash.

Your first data

The last onboarding step is Data Collection. It's a live checklist that narrates what the bot is doing as it does it: joining the server, mapping channels and roles, checking its permissions, loading members. Real counts, plain language.

If the bot can't see a channel, the checklist says so right there and gives you a one-click fix. No silent gaps.

When collection finishes, you land on the Overview dashboard. Live numbers work immediately. History-based metrics fill in as days accumulate, and each one tells you how long it needs.

Backfill 30 days of history

On paid plans, Metryx pulls in the last 30 days of message history and member tenure when the bot joins. Your charts are useful on day one instead of day thirty.

Note

On the Free plan, metrics build forward from the moment the bot joined. You'll see a backfill prompt on the dashboard if you want to unlock the history later.
