Profiles & teams

How profiles work, how they show up in URLs, and how to bring your team in.

The profile model

The profile is the real container in Metryx. It owns the platform connections, the data, the team, and the subscription. Your user account is just a login. It holds no data itself.

That split is what lets one person run several communities. Each one is its own profile with its own plan and its own team, and nothing bleeds between them. Isolation is enforced at the database layer, not just in the UI.

Profiles live in the URL

The profile you're viewing is always right there in the URL:

URL structure
https://app.metryx.app/p/<profileId>/discord/overview

So any page (a metric view, a member, a moderation case) is a link you can bookmark or paste to a teammate, and it opens on the same profile for them.

Switching profiles

Where to find it:SidebarProfile picker (top)

The profile picker sits at the top of the sidebar. Switching swaps the URL over and keeps you on the same page, just for the other profile. Metryx remembers your most recent profile and uses it as the default next time you open the app.

Team invites

Where to find it:SettingsTeam

Teams are per-profile. Invite a teammate by email and they get access to that profile only. Seats depend on the plan: 1 on Free, 2 on Standard, unlimited on Pro. Four roles exist: owners and admins run everything, Discord Staff get moderation access only (acting on members, reviewing appeals), and members get view access. Pending invites are listed on the Team page until they are accepted, and you can revoke one there at any time.

Important

Owners and profile admins manage the Discord connection, profile settings, billing, and teammates. Staff and members cannot replace the connected server.

Note

Each invite is single-use and expires on its own, and sending is rate-limited, so an old invite can't be reused later.
